Here at SCE Event Group, we get to be a part of a ton of amazing weddings hosted at many of the best event venues in the country! But, even with all the events we get to attend, and all the event spaces we see, some really stand out, and the Stone House at Stirling Ridge is one of those venues!
The modern, yet rustic Stone House at Stirling Ridge, sits nestled on gorgeous 10 acres in the Watchung mountains of Warren, NJ. And, its venue spaces provide their clients the scenic rolling countryside views they’re after, but in a more contemporary and accessible setting. We call that a win-win!
The Event Spaces
The Stone House at Stirling Ridge is home to two uniquely different but equally wonderful, large private event spaces, called, The Lodge and The Grand Ballroom. But, if you’re planning a more intimate affair, The Townhome is also an option and can host up to 40 guests. The Townhouse consists of two versatile, multi-level, intimate event spaces, with warm and rich wood finishes, handmade wine cabinets, large glass walls highlighting the gorgeous landscape, and a large top floor deck, so your guests can take the party outside.
Alternatively, you could also host up to 30 guests in The Wine Cellar at Stone House, which is a cozy event space surrounded with handcrafted wine cabinets, an exposed beam ceiling and a rustic, subterranean setting that includes a bar area, and a private entrance.
But, when it comes to larger scale events, both The Grand Ballroom and The Lodge are purposefully located on opposite sides of the property. This ensures that their clients and their clients’ guests have exclusive use of each facility as well as ample privacy for their celebration.
The Grand Ballroom at Stirling Ridge Features 16’ ceilings and a series of glass doors and convertible walls that open onto private gardens and fire pits, which makes the Grand Ballroom a versatile indoor/outdoor space, allowing you to take in the natural beauty of the landscaping. And, when it comes to style, The Grand Ballroom is designed with classic, clean lines, slate floors, and a neutral color palette, allowing their clients the chance to make the space their own!
Meanwhile, The Lodge is a mid-century modern, industrialist space that is fitted with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, massive (and impressive) wrought-iron chandeliers, and a stone fireplace that stands 20 feet tall. The venue also hosts a multi-level cocktail space that offers the look and feel of an art gallery, incorporating brick walls, slate and wood floors, and an angled arched ceiling.
All the Rest!
It’s not just about the event spaces, there’s so much more to say about Stone House at Stirling Ridge! We could talk about all the amazing photo ops hidden amongst the lush grounds, the bocce ball courts and giant outdoor chess board to entertain guests between ceremony and reception, the picturesque fountain and reflecting pond, or the delicious farm fresh, seasonal catering overseen by Executive chef David Drake.
We’d also like to mention that Stone House at Stirling Ridge is part of the Landmark Hospitality Group which currently owns and operates a portfolio of over 13 distinctive venues, boutique hotels, and impeccable restaurants throughout both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Impeccable to the smallest detail, Landmark Hospitality has even curated a list of preferred vendors to reference when booking their venues. This list (That SCE is honored to be a part of) helps to ensure that you’re in good hands, whether you happen to be booking a florist, hair and make-up artist, photographer, videographer, or Music Entertainment Service.
And finally, we’ll mention that owner/operators Jeanne and Frank Cretella built Landmark Hospitality from the ground up! Not only have they been innovators within the industry for over four decades, Jeanne and Frank have also been married for close to 40 years, and even more amazingly, they met when they were both only 12 years old!
You could say, in a way, that getting married at a Landmark Hospitality Group Venue, is playing a part in a love story that has been unfolding for over 40 years! Impressive!
